Alpine kit reads differently from tactical kit, and the difference is almost entirely in the rigging. This pack is built around that: compression straps that pull the fabric in where they cross it, a lid sitting under real tension, and the tapered load-carrying shape that only makes sense on somebody walking uphill for a day. The weathering is set at the point where gear has been used hard but maintained — sun-bleached along the top panels, abraded at the base where it has been dropped on rock, not torn. That state is the useful one for a story: it says somebody was prepared, which is a different scene from somebody improvising. The shading separates the ripstop body from the webbing and the moulded back panel, so it does not flatten into one material at distance. Built as a hero prop, large enough in frame to carry a shot on its own — worn, propped against a wall, or abandoned.
