A scrap-forged axe is not a well-made axe, and modelling it as one is the mistake that makes improvised weapons look like store-bought props with dirt added. The head here is asymmetric: cut from plate, ground rather than forged to shape, the bevel wandering the way it does when somebody worked it by hand. The haft is wrapped rather than fitted, because the wrap is what tells you the join was never trusted. Wear sits where use puts it — polish along the striking edge, corrosion in the recesses, the wrap darkened where a hand has held it. Built for first-person inventory use, which means the silhouette has to survive being held close to the camera and rotated, and the head needs enough real geometry that light breaks across the grind marks instead of sliding over a flat map. The only melee weapon in the vault, and priced as a hero prop rather than set dressing.
